Josh Henne

Manager/Funeral Director & Embalmer

Josh grew up in Gering, Nebraska, graduating from Gering High School in 1998. He began his career in funeral service during high school at the age of 14. After high school, Josh attended Western Nebraska Community College in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and later received his Mortuary Science degree from Arapahoe Community College in Littleton, Colorado, in 2001.

He obtained his funeral director's and embalmers license for the State of Nebraska in April of 2002. On October 16, 2002, he took the manager’s position at the Holechek Funeral Home & Cremations in Oshkosh, Nebraska. During this time, Josh became a partner in the business until his health forced him to be closer to his medical doctors in the Denver Metro area. On March 15, 2011, he returned to the Denver area, where he familiarized himself with the city before establishing Henne Family Funeral & Cremation Services. Josh returned to Western Nebraska in July of 2014. In June of 2015, Henne Family Funeral & Cremation Services took over management of the Sunset Memorial Park west of Scottsbluff.

He was a member of the Garden County Chamber of Commerce, Oshkosh, NE, Chappell Rotary Club, Chappell, NE, Oshkosh Lion’s Club, Oshkosh, NE, and served as secretary, the Nebraska Funeral Director’s Association, served as District 5 President, and the National Funeral Director’s Association and currently a member of the Colorado Funeral Directors Association and the Denver Metro Funeral Directors Association. Josh has one son, Kaleb Ryan Henne, who is the greatest joy in his life. They reside in Gering, Nebraska.
