Kevin Floyd Henne, 56, of Rapid City, SD, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2009 at his home.

Graveside services were held at 2:30 p.m. Friday Feb. 20, at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, with Chaplain Bill Zandri officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Sturgis Honor Guard.

Kevin was born on Dec. 4, 1952, at Ft. Meade, Maryland. Kevin was adopted in 1965 by Cal and Hazel Henne. He grew up and received his education in Bridgeport, Nebraska. He served in the United States Army from 1971 to 1975. Kevin worked as a police officer in Scottsbluff and Gering, Nebraska before moving to California. He later moved to Rapid City where he resided until the time of his death.

Survivors include children, Jennifer Henne and Jeff Heilbrun and their children, Tristen and Trinity of Ft. Collins, CO, Josh and wife Megan Henne and their son, Kaleb of Oshkosh, Jesse Henne of Lead, SD, Jeremy Masid and his children, Samantha, Jeremiah and Tyler of Plattsmouth, NE; parents, Cal and Hazel Henne of Bridgeport, NE; siblings, Jody Robinson, Bill Steinhour, Kathy Kersey, Colleen Williams, Kenneth and wife Jean Henne of Bridgeport, Joleen and husband Rich Slee of Chadron, and Bill Henne of Rolla, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Kelly.
