Kenneth Calvin Henne, 53, of Bridgeport, died Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at the Morrill County Community Hospital in Bridgeport, Nebraska.

At his request, cremation has taken place at Jolliffe Funeral Home and Crematory in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 30 at 10 a.m. at the Church of Christ in Bridgeport. A private family inurnment will be held in the Nebraska State Veterans Cemetery in Alliance.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Kenny's name at Platte Valley Bank in Bridgeport.

Kenny was born on November 6, 1957, in Stratton, Nebraska, and was adopted by Calvin and Hazel Henne in September of 1965. He grew up in Bridgeport, attended Bridgeport High School and later earned his GED.

Kenny entered the United States Army and was Honorably Discharged on December 12, 1975. He worked for 16 years for the Burlington Northern Railroad and later for Railcrew Express before retiring due to medical reasons. He loved fishing and camping and spending time with friends, family, and his dogs.

Kenny married Sherry Johnson in 1977 and to this union were born their children Lisa and Benjamin. Kenny married Adella "Jeannie" Seagle on February 3, 2007.

Kenny is survived by his mother, Hazel ; wife Jeannie; daughter Lisa (Jeff) Gion and their children Allyson, Ethan, and Trenton; son BJ (Angie) and their children Skylor, Madison, and Lily; sister Joleen (Rich) Slee ; brother Bill Henne; ex-wife Sherry Henne; biological sisters Colleen Williams and Kathy Kersey; several nieces and nephews; and many good friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Calvin and his brothers Kevin Henne and Kelly Mortensen.
