Constance "Connie" Trook, 78, of Gering, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2019, in Johnstown, CO.

Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at Valley Bible Church, 1418 9 ^th Ave, Scottsbluff, with Pastor Jason Schmidt officiating. Inurnment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park west of Scottsbluff.

Memorial contributions may be made in Connie's name to be designated later.

Constance Ann was born on Jan. 1, 1941, in Easton, Maine to James and Dorothy (Cahill) Oldenburg. She grew up and graduated from Easton High School in 1959.

Connie met Jim Trook while he was in the Air Force and they were united in marriage on May 6, 1960, in New Brunswick, Canada. They made their home in Scottsbluff in 1960 and returned to Maine in 1961 before returning to Scottsbluff in 1962.

Connie worked as a supervisor for Midwec in Scottsbluff as well as Daylight Donuts before establishing a daycare for many years.

She enjoyed reading and knitting and was a member of Valley Bible Church and past member of the First Baptist Church.

Connie is survived by her husband, Jim Trook of Gering; son, Alan and wife Suzanne Trook of Gering; four grandchildren, Sarah, Katheryn, James and Joshua Trook; and her brother, Gaylon Oldenburg of Oswego, NY.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Dolores Oldenburg.
